About us
The Florida SBDC at the University of North Florida (Florida SBDC at UNF) is State Designated as Florida’s Principal Provider of Business Assistance [ § 288.001, Fla. Stat.] The Florida SBDC at UNF is a member of the Florida SBDC Network, a statewide service network funded in part through cooperative agreements with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), Defense Logistics Agency, State of Florida and other private and public partners; hosted by the University of West Florida; and nationally accredited by the Association of SBDCs. As part of the University of North Florida's Coggin College of Business, the Florida SBDC at UNF provides training, consulting and information to small business owners. The Florida SBDC at UNF has offices in Jacksonville, Ocala, Gainesville, St. Augustine Palatka, Fernandina, Orange Park, and Live Oak. From these offices it serves an eighteen-county area that includes Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Citrus, Clay, Columbia, Dixie, Duval, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Lafayette, Levy, Marion, Nassau, Putnam, St. Johns, Suwannee, and Union counties. Florida SBDC services are extended to the public on a nondiscriminatory basis. Language assistance services are available for limited English proficient individuals.
