Best Father’s Day present ever? You’ll love this heartwarming story featuring one of PromptCare’s tiniest patients! Meet Ella Box, who at five months old is joining Mom and Dad at home after receiving months of specialized care at Blythedale Children's Hospital. Baby Ella was born with a rare genetic neurological condition called congenital central hypoventilation syndrome, which affects her autonomic control of breathing. Through the steadfast support of PromptCare’s gifted Respiratory and Enteral Nutrition teams, her parents received comprehensive education to manage her care in the home, including vent training and tube feeding. Now Ella is thriving: Her weight has doubled, her care team predicts she’ll reach her developmental milestones as she continues to grow, and most importantly, her parents look forward to spending even more precious moments with their daughter in their family home this weekend. Congratulations to Ella, the Box family, PromptCare’s Tiberiu Mihai, RT, and all the incredible clinicians and caretakers who helped make her transition home a reality! Keep smiling, Ella! Did you know? Donating blood and plasma is crucial for patients undergoing infusion therapy for treatment of rare conditions. Blood donations provide red cells and platelets essential for transfusions during surgeries and chemotherapy. Plasma donations, rich in proteins, are vital for immunoglobulin infusions and clotting factor therapies. These treatments help manage chronic conditions, prevent complications, and enhance the overall quality of life for patients worldwide. Your donation—whether blood or plasma—directly improves patient outcomes and supports life-saving healthcare treatments.
