🌟 In celebration of Hispanic & Latin American Heritage Month, 6abc WPVI-TV Philadelphia spotlighted our STEM Scholars program as part of their Visions series, which highlights impactful contributions in local Hispanic and Latin American communities in the Philadelphia region. The STEM Scholars program supports select Philadelphia-area students in grades 9-12 who are passionate about science, technology, engineering, and math, with a focus on communities historically underrepresented in STEM. In the segment, they interviewed Deanna Torres, a proud graduate of our very first STEM Scholars class, and Derek Serrano, a current senior at W.B. Saul High School. Both shared how the program shaped their future goals and inspired them to pursue their passions in STEM. We’re so proud of them and grateful for the continued impact of this program!
