Join us in congratulating the 2024 recipient of the Justice Thomas L. Kilbride Public Service Award: Hon. Janet S. Baer of the United States Bankruptcy Court, Northern District of Illinois. "Judge Baer’s dedication to helping others does not stop at the courthouse doors. She has served in many local, national, and international bar leadership roles throughout her legal career and has taught and mentored students at several area law schools. Judge Baer has also been an exemplary leader and longtime volunteer for the Chicago Chapter of Credit Abuse Resistance Education (CARE), regularly going out in the community to educate students about financial literacy. She also frequently acts as a Presiding Judge for Naturalization ceremonies. The Chicago Bar Foundation reposted this
Ensuring access to justice for all is not the pipe dream it often can appear to be, but getting there starts with having a solid understanding of the problem we are trying to solve. And it is actually many individual problems people face, and a continuum of legal solutions tailored to what they need to get a fair and cost-effective outcome. https://lnkd.in/gxNzSzvj
