Featuring early stage startups on the RISE
About us
In this short snappy podcast, you’ll hear firsthand about how early stage CEOs are adding baking soda to their playbook to: (1) Impact the world through inclusivity. Think of a time you met someone who doesn’t own baking soda? It isn’t just for the select few, or those with the pedigree, it is for everyone. (2) Create multiple use cases with diversified revenue streams. Baking soda‘s application extends beyond the kitchen. It can be used for baking, cleaning, freshening, whitening, drying, deodorizing, soothing, easing, exfoliating, erasing, drying, preserving and brightening. It can be packaged to fit the need and the impact just keeps coming. (3) Feel absolutely critical to customers, not just optional. In our house we don’t run out of baking soda, and we always keep an extra box. Don’t you? (4) Be quick to market and fast to innovate for new uses. Baking soda uses grow over time, and is supported by novel product packaging. It all happens so quickly. (5) Show clear results with the efficacy of more expensive solutions. Baking soda shows its impact by raising a cake or even whitening your teeth. It works, and shows it proudly. (6) Provide a consistent experience and be best in simplest form. Baking soda always works, doesn’t malfunction, and as long as it is pure. It needs no unnecessary hype. (7) Find an invincible distribution strategy: Baking soda is sold online on Amazon, in store at hardware shops, gas pumps and grocery stores. It can even be bought by mail order via catalogs. There is no limit to its channel and breadth of distribution. Please, listen, comment and share with our networks! Spread the good word about baking soda.

Listen to Sakshi, CEO of Hexus, and her co-founder Shambhavi, as they realized there wasn't a great solution for the highly manual challenge of creating product collateral. Wesley, our guest host from S32, witnessed this firsthand during his time with Google, assisting with product operations. He observed that creating demos or help center content could cost tens of thousands of dollars per product platform. 🔗 Listen to the episode on Spotify: https://lnkd.in/gy84e3cA 🔗 Tune in on Apple Podcasts: https://lnkd.in/gPD4EJ-z 🔗 Catch episode highlights on Substack: https://lnkd.in/gYWuSnAs 👍 Enjoy our podcast? 🖨️ Are LLMs like 3D printers of the manufacturing world? 🖨️ Tanmay from Emissary shared his favourite analogy in our latest episode of the The Baking Soda Podcast 🎧 Tune in to hear him discuss the strengths of LLMs as a prototyping tool, enabling a users to experiment broadly with GenAI. However, he warns that relying on them as a steady state solution may be impractical due to high costs and slow production speeds. Congrats to Brandon Li and the entire Power team on their successful Series A raise! We loved our conversation with them as the change how pharma recruits for clinical trials. 🎉 It's official – we’ve raised a $12M Series A. We’re stoked to be partnering with new leads Kin Ventures and Contrary while deepening our relationship with the team at Footwork. Power started with a mission to reimagine trial recruitment with the patient at its core, and to do something about an outdated system that wasn’t serving anyone effectively. At Power, we’re making it easy for patients and researchers to connect, and data tells us our product is working: 🌐 Over 600,000 patients used Power to discover trials in the last year 🌈 40% of these patients are non-white 💪 A staggering 90% of these patients were previously unconnected with existing research sites We’re excited to celebrate these achievements and many more. Yet, the most impactful milestones are the empowering stories we hear from patients weekly, who have found hope in situations once deemed hopeless. Looking ahead, we're committed to making it easier than ever for all key stakeholders - patients, researchers, and trial sponsors - to connect, and setting a new standard for the clinical trial industry at large. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey. The support we've received over the past 2 years has been nothing short of inspiring. And finally, a shout out to some of our awesome investors who we are partnering with on this round: Nikhil Basu Trivedi and Mike Smith at Footwork Tina Hoang-To at Kin Ventures Megan Kao, Eric Tarczynski and Kyle Harrison at Contrary Daniel Rumennik and Lenny Rachitsky at AirAngels Vasudev Bailey and Stuart Peterson at ARTIS Ventures Harry Stebbings, Casey Winters and Rob Schutz at 20Growth Ryan Ackell at 14W Tim Kendall and Evan Tato at Common Metal Terrence Rohan at Otherwise

🎙️ Tune into Ep7 of The Baking Soda Podcast: For Startups on the Rise to explore Emissary's innovative approach to enabling AI in enterprises. Join us and Tanmay Chopra, CEO and founder of Emissary, as we delve into AI model distillation and continuous iteration. 🌟Emissary stands at the forefront of AI application, turning complex challenges into practical, ROI-positive solutions. Emissary just released its benchmarking platform: "Stupidly Simple Benchmarking Infrastructure". Developers can now evaluate prompts and manage model migrations and regressions on their own terms, rapidly and reliably. Check it out! (https://lnkd.in/gNhu4TYM) 💡Our conversation with Tanmay revealed key insights: 1️⃣ Enterprise AI adoption is in it's infancy: Enterprises are at the initial stages of AI adoption, exploring but stuck in pilot or strategising phase 2️⃣ Smaller models of the future: The trend is towards multiple smaller models rather than a single LLM. LLMs become the prototyping solution 3️⃣ 'Interaction Data' is the moat: Proprietary interaction data becomes a ML moat without the need for highly skilled manual labor at every turn 🔗 Listen now on Spotify: https://lnkd.in/gKvzVWUc 🔗 Tune in on Apple Podcasts: https://lnkd.in/gUJTPNdU 🔗 Catch episode highlights on Substack: https://lnkd.in/gafvSK7k 🔍 Explore Previous Episodes: Ep 6: Emma & Molly of Constructable Ep5: Sidd Seethepalli of Vellum Ep4: Brandon Li of Power Ep3: Stella Han of Fractional Ep2: Alex Lee of Truewind Ep1: Harry & Rory of Checkmate 👍 Enjoy our podcast?
