About us
TELO Trucks makes intelligently designed, compact electric vehicle trucks for city living and weekend adventuring. As the demand for EV grows, so does the need for practical trucks suited to urban and suburban environments and active lifestyles. Our mission is to make sustainable mobility fit for purpose. We build right-sized — not super sized — trucks with space for people and gear beyond what meets the eye. Reimagining EV’s where big truck utility meets street smart technology, TELO is creating a more purposeful and responsible mobility future with less wasted space in vehicles, on our roads, and for the planet. TELO was founded by Jason Marks, who developed the test systems for the driver assistance safety features on five major United States’ automakers' vehicle platforms, and Forrest North, who helped develop the first Tesla Roadster and founded one of the first electric motorcycles companies, Mission Motors. TELO partnered with world-renown designer, advisor and investor Yves Béhar and Fuseproject for the vehicle design.

Meet Jason and Forrest — co-founders of TELO Trucks. Telo Trucks builds electric mini trucks with the same capabilities as an F150, with Tesla-range, the size of a 2-door MINI Cooper. Jason Marks (CEO) built his first two vehicles from scratch in high school and developed the test systems for the first radar and LiDAR semiconductor wafers. He then developed the testing procedures for many safety systems that went into the first electric pickup trucks. Forrest North (CTO) was on the Stanford Solar Car Project Team that turned into the original days of Tesla. He built the battery packs for the first Roadsters, founded Mission Motors (an electric motorcycle company), then created and sold PlugShare – the #1 app for finding vehicle charging stations. Pickup trucks have gotten outrageously large over the last 15 years – they’re the leading cause of pedestrian deaths and contribute to 10.5% of all carbon emissions in the U.S. The people that feel the most pain from this trend are the people that do work in downtown cities. Electrification allows us to rethink the form and footprint of the truck. TELO is creating a new category of vehicle that addresses a huge hole in the market.
