At Technomics, we believe that investing in the future means investing in our youth. Since 2021, the Technomics Reach Scholarship program has provided need-based STEM scholarships to seniors at Alexandria City High School, making a real impact on the lives of local students. To date, we’ve proudly awarded $144,000 to nine deserving students, helping them pursue their dreams in STEM fields. By supporting students from a variety of different backgrounds in our community, we strive to address the critical need for diversity in our industry and foster a more inclusive future in STEM. 🔬 Just as Technomics has managed to grow every year, we want to grow the number for worthy students we support and/or the size of each scholarship. This year, we have raised our fundraising target. To help us reach or exceed our goal, we can use your help. Please consider donating whatever amount you are comfortable with to the Technomics Reach Scholarship program via Venmo: @technomics_give Together, we can make a difference in the lives of these students and in the future of our community. Feel free to reach out to us on LinkedIn for more information on how YOU can support our REACH scholars. 🎓

This Spring, #Technomics employee owners completed the annual Food Drive for the Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC). This year marks the 10th consecutive year we have supported AFAC. As a company, Technomics was able to donate $10,000 as well as over 100 lbs. of food to combat food insecurity in the surrounding Arlington area! AFAC’s mission is to “provide dignified access to free groceries, which allows families to devote their limited financial resources to obligations such as housing, utilities, medication, and other basic needs.” More information on improving food security in the Arlington area can be found on AFACs website at https://afac.org/

Big Third Day at 2024 ICEAA Workshop in Minneapolis! The final day of the workshop started in a similar fashion as the previous two with ICEAA (International Cost Estimating & Analysis Association) recognizing the accomplishment of five talented employee owners. A team composed of Kyle Bezold, Brittany Esser, Christina Kosmakos, Adam Lacerte and Tony T. was selected as the winner of this year’s Cost Challenge. The team’s solution to the challenge problem, Estimating the Costs and Benefits of Cleaning the Great Lakes, was deemed the best of six teams. What is also noteworthy is the team scored a perfect score in each of the six evaluation categories, including Methodology/Data analysis, Innovation and Presentation Skills. Later in the day, the team presented their solution in a session open to all workshop attendees. Additionally, #Technomics paper authors continued to wow audiences with four more excellent technical talks. Sean Wells, CCEA presented “Well, That Escalated Quickly – A Novel Approach to Forecasting Escalation.” Camille Holly presented “Comparative Analysis of NASA Cost Estimation Tools.” Hannah Hoag Lee, MSc presented “The Nuclear Option: Avoiding Critical Delays with Advanced Constraints Analysis,” which had won a Best Paper Award the first day of the workshop. Finally, Peter Braxton, Kenneth Rhodes and Benjamin Truskin presented “Measuring Software Development Efficiency in an Agile Environment.” Technomicians capped off the company’s successful workshop showing with a celebratory dinner that gave all attendees an opportunity to share in the pride of growing their and Technomics, Inc. reputation!
