Superior Ambulance sends our sincerest condolences to the Deer family following the passing of Commissioner Dennis Deer. The Commissioner was instrumental in his district, pioneering EMS programs throughout IMD, Englewood and Lawndale. With his support, Superior has trained 37 EMTs and 170 EMRs since 2022 in Commissioner Deer's district. We also have 16 EMTs and 20 EMRs in training with another 20 EMT students starting in August; a total of 263 additional EMS personnel in Chicago thanks to Commissioner Deer. Superior will forever be grateful for our partnership with Commissioner Deer. His legacy is an inspiration to us all.

Demel Fountain, one of our Illinois Regional Managers, was a panelist at the 2024 Juneteenth Illinois celebration this past Saturday! Featured on the education panel, Demel had the opportunity to speak about our partnerships with schools across Chicagoland, aiming to make EMS more accessible for young people. From Emergency Medical Responder classes to our partnership with After School Matters, Superior is honored to work with such amazing programs, and we look forward to what we can do together in the future!
