“Just be really curious, keep an open mind to everything.” One of the best ways to learn is by getting out in the field. Our very own Reema Albahri shares invaluable advice for new professionals visiting a project site for the first time. For Reema, the transition from blueprints to a finished project is where the real learning happens. 🌟 Listen to Reema’s advice during a recent site visit to the Portal North Bridge ⬇

“It's really just great to work on a project, come up with plans, be able to go and see it and even use it for your own personal use.” STV’s Jason Galli, a Pennsylvania native, connected with Sarah Derouin at American Society of Civil Engineers’s Civil Engineering magazine to discuss how our local team is ensuring these vital connections are safe and sustainable. We’re proud to be part of revitalizing Pennsylvania's bridge infrastructure. Ready to future-proof your bus fleet? As the push toward zero-emissions bus fleets accelerates, STV's proprietary Performance and Evaluation of Electric Bus Routes (PEER) tool is helping transit agencies navigate the complexities of this transition. PEER goes beyond basic energy consumption metrics. It offers a detailed simulation of an entire bus network, from route elevations to temperature impacts. STV’s Branden Tolle and David Casper break down how this allows agencies to make informed decisions on fleet transitions. 👇

The historic Belden G. Bly Drawbridge in Massachusetts has become a primary cause of gridlock along Route 107, opening around 40 times per day during peak summer months and frequently getting stuck in the open position. To improve traffic and enhance safety along the corridor, MassDOT commissioned a replacement structure with a modern, more resilient and efficient structure. We are proud to serve as the engineer-of-record for the replacement of the historic drawbridge, and in collaboration with MassDOT and SPS New England, Inc. we are paving the way for a more efficient and safe #transportation corridor. 🤝
