50k (31miles) run completed ✅ and $10,366 raised for Travis Manion Foundation. AnnMarie and I ran in the Marine Corps Marathon 50k a little over a month ago. We created the team Strata House Films and ran it for a great purpose. To support one of my favorite clients, TMF, and raise money for the organization. Leading up to this, I had zero experience running long races. The longest distance I ran leading up to training was 15 miles. I trained for a marathon at one point but quit because of an injury with one month left of training. So, I was scared and lacked the confidence that I could actually make it through training. But with the help of my wife (much more experienced) and us training together the whole time, we did it. This is what I learned. You hear it all of the time, but people are right. It takes consistency to achieve the goals that are important to you. You have to get up every day, even at 4:30 am on a Saturday, to run 18 miles before you get on a plane to film for 3 straight days. It takes endurance. This was my favorite part of the training, though. AnnMarie and I ran about 90% of the time together, which I will always cherish. We never listened to music and talked A LOT during our runs. I'm really thankful for this. My closing thoughts. You should run if you can or do something that takes a lot of training. It will change your life and transform your business. It gives you perspective on achieving those business and life goals, and you realize you need endurance. Lastly, support your clients and be a part of their mission.
