Meet Tiffany! Tiffany is a High Fidelity Coach in our Wraparound program. Earning her Bachelor's degree in Communication studies with a minor in Journalism, she began her career in media relations. However, feeling something was missing she returned to school at CSU, Sacramento where she earned her Master's in Counseling with a Pupil Personnel Services Credential. Her passion for helping young people and their families ignited, leading to her current position at SSYAF that started in 2006. Tiffany finds joy in helping the families she works with overcome their struggles by utilizing their existing strengths. She also takes pride in seeing these families realize their potential and make the positive progress they can achieve independently. As a Coach, she is passionate about the team-based aspect of Wraparound. She thrives on supporting staff to better assist the families we serve. With the support she receives from her team, she always feels encouraged to personally grow her skills through affinity groups, committees, and cultural insight activities. Fun fact: Tiffany is a self-proclaimed cat lady. She loves all things cats and has two rescue cats named Nigel and Luna. Are you interested in making an impact in your community? Our "Under the Stars with Wonder" camp was a huge success! With 26 matches and 11 staff and volunteers, we had our biggest group yet. For many kids, it was their first time at camp and even first time on a bus! From rock climbing to night hikes, every moment was filled with wonder, fostering friendships and deepening mentoring bonds. A highlight was an older youth who has grown into a role model, leading camp games and earning the "Superstar" award. The ride home was filled with newfound confidence and cherished memories. Thank you to everyone who made this magical weekend possible! #mentor #summercamp #thankyou

In addition to the trauma that comes with being in the child welfare system, BIPOC youth in foster care often experience additional stressors due to discrimination and cultural displacement. It's vital to understand and support their mental well-being by recognizing these challenges and advocating for culturally competent care. https://rebrand.ly/6rw29jx #mentalhealth #BIPOC #MentalHealthAwareness #FosterYouth
