Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 70th Anniversary Celebration of the Honors Cooperative Program (HCP), Stanford’s part-time, flexible master’s degree program. The evening began with a thought-provoking faculty panel on the future of #AI, followed by a mixer and a panel discussion led by Professor Thomas Kenny, where HCP alums Shoba Rao, Mike Kramer, and Ming Luo shared their experiences and career insights. We presented the inaugural James Gibbons Faculty Award to School of Engineering Dean Jennifer Widom, in recognition of her dedication to teaching students beyond the Stanford campus, and honored by Professor Emeritus James Gibbons’ and other distinguished leaders’ presence at the event. The night concluded with a beautiful reception under the stars, celebrating our HCP community and bright futures ahead. #StanfordHCP70 #StanfordReunion

For 70 years, Stanford Online’s Honors Cooperative Program (HCP) has enabled working professionals to earn a master’s degree part-time without leaving their jobs or relocating to campus. Students in the HCP program earn the same degree as full-time residential students. Originally born out of an industry need in the 1950s, HCP has continued to evolve, taking a major turn in the 1990s when Stanford Engineering used satellite technology to broadcast a five-hour program to institutions across the country. Today, HCP continues to meet the needs of learners wherever they are in their careers and in the world, with the infrastructure in place to readily support remote and hybrid education. Hello from Bahrain! This week, our very own Associate Dean and Executive Director of Global & Online Education, Carissa Little, along with Chief Education Solutions Officer, Dr. Chunmei (Mei) Zhao, attended the ITU Digital Skills Forum in Manama, Bahrain.   In addition to their attendance, Dr. Zhao participated in the panel discussion, Digital skills for Jobs. The panel explored the impact of digital transformation on the global workforce, including the challenges and opportunities it presents.   As the world becomes increasingly digitized, CGOE continues to be at the forefront of digital skills education. Dr. Zhao and her fellow panelists discussed strategies to equip individuals with the necessary skills to thrive in this new era.

Had an incredible time training a highly engaged group of leaders from #Saudi Arabia at the #Stanford #SIDF #Business and #Leadership Program on Corporate #Strategy. The participants were deeply involved, posed thought-provoking questions, and excelled in applying the strategy frameworks shared. Witnessing their enthusiasm, commitment, drive, ambition, and professionalism was inspiring. The #Stanford Saudi Industrial Development Fund - SIDF Business and Leadership Program is an 8-week course for emerging and established #leaders in Saudi Arabia, covering innovation, strategy, market assessment, accounting, finance, and leadership. It fosters a mindset of innovation and strategic thinking, preparing participants for senior executive roles. Offered through the #Stanford Center for Global & Online Education, the program provides global access to Stanford’s world-class teaching and research. This new name better reflects the global scope and innovative approach of the educational programs we deliver, as well as the diverse, worldwide audience of learners that we serve.
