In our New York office last week we hosted Pulitzer Prize-winning and New York Times best-selling author Richard Powers. He came by to celebrate the release of his latest debut novel Playground, which was produced and published in audio by our very own Spotify Audiobooks team. Richard was joined by one of the audiobook’s narrators, Audie Award-winner Edoardo Ballerini, to discuss Playground and its intersection of humanity, science, and technology. Richard and Edoardo dove into their experiences crafting the audiobook in collaboration with Spotify Audiobooks, highlighting how the audio format enhances storytelling and the impact it can have on writers while crafting stories.
