In 2024, global solar capacity installations are set to soar to 592 GW, a remarkable 33% increase from last year’s record. This growth is driven by plummeting module prices, making solar more appealing in new markets while adding pressure on manufacturers. With polysilicon prices now at a historic low, production costs are challenging, leading to factory closures and financial strain for many in the industry.
