Wall Street’s biggest asset managers, like BlackRock and Vanguard, are using your savings to fund harmful LNG gas exports that pollute our climate and communities. Fossil fuel giants driven by corporate greed are expanding fracking in the Permian Basin, causing earthquakes and health risks. Let's stop this pipeline of money to prevent future climate disasters! Tell Asset Managers to keep fossil fuels in the ground: sc.org/AM
About us
At the Sierra Club, we believe in the power of togetherness. Together, we remain committed to the fight for a healthy climate built on a foundation of environmental, racial, economic, and gender justice – a future where all people benefit from a healthy, thriving planet and a direct connection to nature. As the climate crisis and deeply entrenched systemic racism all fuel inequity, we will continue to fight for a bold, transformational agenda that recognizes the interconnectedness between our planet, our humanity, and our democracy. By recognizing that our destinies are tied, we continue to name that all things are fundamentally connected, and the overlap between ecology, race, gender, and representative government will move to either advance our collective humanity or to oppress it. Sierra Club is comprised of staff across the country and a network of local chapters that support our grassroots engagement. We are also proud to be a unionized employer, with two labor unions representing more than half of our employees. Please view www.sierraclub.org/careers/ for more information.

Asset management companies like Vanguard manage billions of dollars in retirement savings for everyday Americans. Vanguard is the largest global investor in fossil fuels and has a terrible record on holding corporate polluters accountable. Did you hear the good news? Colorado wildlife managers have confirmed that a pair of Colorado’s newly reintroduced wolves have had a pup! The new wolf family has been named the Copper Creek Pack. Although only one pup was verified, Colorado Parks and Wildlife says others may be present; a typical litter consists of four to six pups. “It’s so exciting to be witnessing the early days of wolves’ return to Colorado,” said our Southern Rockies Director Alli Henderson. “With wolf families gone from Colorado for nearly a century, this pup’s arrival is a huge conservation milestone. Wolves belong here, and I’m so glad they’re back.” Images of the pup aren’t available to the public, but here’s footage of the thrilling Colorado wolf reintroduction from December 2023. 📹 by Colorado Parks & Wildlife

🌄 One writer's farewell to Arches National Park 🌄 "A remarkably long and snowy Utah winter had left me feeling like a cat pawing at the door to get out," Riley Black writes in the latest edition of Sierra Magazine. "On top of that, my partner had gotten a job offer out of state. With just a few weeks before the planned move, I wanted to say farewell to the desert that had enthralled me since I first moved here more than a decade ago." 🌿✨Join Riley on a poignant journey through Arches National Park, celebrating the beauty and magic of Utah's iconic landscape one last time at the 🔗 https://bit.ly/3KZKqBl ✍️ Riley Black 🎨 Jun Chen #ArchesNationalPark #Utah #NatureLovers #AdventureAwaits #SierraClub

The latest ruling from the Supreme Court pausing the Good Neighbor rule presumes that it is normal and proper for people to subsidize industry with their health while ignoring the fact that companies have the means to adopt technologies that can greatly reduce health-harming pollution. It is simply unjust. I agree with Patrick Campbell, the executive director of Group Against Smog and Pollution (GASP), when he says “industry groups overall have argued the cost of implementing the rule is too high, and GASP’s feeling is that we can’t put a price tag on public health.” https://lnkd.in/gcy3C65A

Forever chemicals called PFAS are everywhere these days—in our food, clothing, and personal care products. Wouldn't it be great if there was a way to quickly and easily find out if what you're buying has toxic chemicals in it?
