Shruti Costales (she/her) is the sole owner and founder of Shruti Law PLLC, which is a woman and minority owned law firm in Washington, DC. Shruti has over 20 years of legal experience including several years of experience working as an in-house lawyer for Fortune 100 technology companies. The USPTO has discontinued its use of the PTO/SB/84 form, “Authorization to Act in a Representative Capacity.” The discontinuation does not limit the ability of patent practitioners to act in a representative capacity pursuant to 37 CFR 1.34.
