All of us at Sarah Reed are beyond grateful to MacDonald Illig Jones & Britton LLP for their incredible $15,000 contribution through the PA Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program! This gift along with all donations we receive through the EITC program are used for our approved Summer Reading & Math Program at our Residential Campus, which enables the children and teens to continue improving their reading and math skills during the summer months. They also enjoy a variety of STEAM activities to make learning fun! The EITC program awards tax credits to pre-approved businesses & corporations, which can then be donated to approved programs and charities. If your company is interested in making a gift through the EITC program, please contact Gary Bukowski in our Development Office at (814) 835-7602 or via email at [email protected]. To our friends at MIJB LLP - thank you for continuing to invest in our children’s future and making a lasting impact on their lives! www.sarahreed.org

National Estate Planning Awareness Week is still in progress! Founded in 2008 and observed every year during the third full week of October, it’s a reminder that we all need to prepare for the inevitable. National Estate Planning Awareness Week is about drawing up the most important document of your life: An estate plan that protects your interests and your loved ones. It’s never too early to give yourself peace of mind by ensuring a thoughtful estate plan is in place. An estate plan can include a will or a trust, or both. It can detail beneficiary designations, like those you created for your bank account, retirement account, or life insurance. And it should include powers of attorney for your finances and your healthcare decisions, in the event you become incapacitated. An estate plan is also a smart way to shape your legacy and support the causes you love, like Sarah Reed Children's Center. You can make a gift directly from your will or explore other planned gift options that may be a better fit for your situation. You can even make your gift in honor or in memory of a loved one. With a simple plan to shape your legacy, you can make an incredible difference. This is a good time for reflection and making a difference and leaving a legacy to the causes you care about.#legacy #plannedgiving #Philanthropy Please take a look at our Legacy Planner to craft a draft of your will and learn more about the process of making a difference. https://bit.ly/SARCCLegacy www.sarahreed.org

We’re excited to share that Sarah A. Reed Children’s Center is a recipient of Preservation Erie’s 2024 Greater Erie Award for Adaptive Reuse for the repurposing of St. Ann’s School as an education center/school! We are honored to be recognized for our work at the St. Ann’s Campus, especially as we celebrate this special building’s historic 100 years of educating Erie’s children. This award adds to our momentum as we continue to beautify, enhance and upgrade the inside and outside of this campus through our $1.3 million St. Ann’s Campus Enhancement. We’ve completed $600,000 in improvements since Summer 2022 during Phase 1 and are now onto Phase 2 with the remaining $700,000 in renovations, which will benefit the 100+ children in grades K-12 and 350+ families this campus serves annually. This award truly shines the light on the impact and the importance of our St. Ann’s Campus to Erie County’s East Side children and families! A huge thank you to our friends at the Knights of Columbus for making sure our children had school supplies to start the academic year off right! They provided loads of brand new supplies, including notebooks, markers, puzzle books, scissors, folders, water bottles and even noise-reducing headphones! These items were graciously donated for use in programs across our agency, including the Residential, Hamilton and St. Ann’s Campuses, along with our Bridges West program located in Emerson-Gridley School. Thank you for your ongoing support and for the positive impact you are continuing to have on our children and our community! www.sarahreed.org
