Misinformation can sometimes cause people to not seek treatment. At the Root Center, one of our service lines is methadone. Methadone is known to be one of the leading treatment methods for those who suffer from Opioid Use Disorder, yet, there are still so many myths surrounding this life saving medication. Let's debunk some of the most common misconceptions with one of our Central Admissions Physicians, Dr. Peter Barnett! Learn more at rootcenter.org #FactsNotFear #WeDoRecover #RecoveryIsPossible

#NationalDisabilityIndependenceWeek is more than just the anniversary of the United States signing the ADA (American’s With Disabilities Act) in 1990. This is a time to recognize the power in all. At the Root Center, we honor the power in everyone. We must come together to recognize that we all have varying levels of abilities, but we all matter just the same. The ADA played a vital role in Root’s recent past as it became the catalyst for attaining approval to open our Healthcare Clinic in Middletown on Washington Street. “Root” and it’s patients living in Middlesex County are very grateful for the ADA! #AllAbilities #Equality #Fairness

We need your help! Two years ago, on International Overdose Awareness Day, we opened our Manchester Memorial Garden, a beautiful sanctuary that is open to the public for reflection and serenity. Last year, we started a tradition of planting something in the garden on this day to honor the lives lost to the disease of addiction. With #InternationalOverdoseAwarenessDay (8/31) just over a month away, we are asking for everyone's help deciding this year's new addition! Please vote in the comments: 1. Butterfly Bush 2. Crape Myrtle If you have not yet seen the garden, please stop by! It's in the back of our clinic at 335 Broad Street in Manchester. #WeDoRecover #PlantingRoots #Garden
