As inventor of the world's first online, self-service expert system that delivers overweight/oversized hauling permits and routes through interstate, state, and primary roads in Virginia (2000, operating without a phone call since thanks to a crack team of engineers at Parikh Advanced Systems); I was delighted to return to the state/local/international transportation domain in Ft. Lauderdale last month at IATR. Special thanks to Governor Gilmore and Governor Warner and the first CIO in any state Don Upson in supporting that high-risk, first-of-a-kind project, now famous for its innovation (and courage at the highest levels to allow legal permits and routes/instructions to be distributed on-demand without a human-in-the-loop!). AI was not necessary.
🚗 How can dash cams play a pivotal role in ensuring the safest mass market adoption of AVs? 📸 Powered by our network of over 700,000 dash cams, Nexar Inc. is building an ecosystem that gathers critical data to improve AV safety and development. 🌊 Our data lake of over 60 million road videos enables real-world data collection, helping train and validate AV models, monitor driver behavior, and ensure that road infrastructure issues are quickly identified and resolved. 💡 This real-time data helps pave the way for the safe and scalable adoption of autonomous vehicles. Last week, I had the privilege of speaking at the International Association of Transportation Regulators conference on these very topics. It was a pleasure to share the stage with industry leaders and experts like Andrew Miller Doug Bermudez, MSM Glenn Cook Kevin French Link Parikh 🚀 Jarvis Murray Sean Bouffiou, SPHR, CPN and Pierre Bouffort. And a huge thank you to Matthew W. Daus, Kim Ramkishun, and the entire IATR team for organizing such an impactful event. 🔍 Interested in how we’re driving the future of AV safety and road infrastructure management?
