We are making New York quantum, one entangled photon at a time! To learn more, read in depth, amazing article by Isaac Schultz on Gizmodo about the work Qunnect has been doing in NYC. FYI, we're already gearing up for the next quantum networking demo under the streets of New York, this time in Manhattan 😎🗽

As the lead scientist in a quantum startup, it's always amazing when our work is highly recognized in peer reviewed journals like our recent work at PRX Quantum. But it's a whole different level of validation when I see the demand and the desire for so many world class scientists, universities, and companies to have access to the technologies we have been inventing these past 4 years. Today, It made me so happy when I was walking by our manufacturing space and saw 5 entanglement sources ready to move to the next stage of assembly into our 2U rack devices for final testing and shipping to customers in different sectors around the world. There is no feeling in science more fulfilling than know that you're making an impact. Knowing that you're helping your community and your field grow faster and faster. This the strongest driving force behind our team at Qunnect 💜

Our GothamQ paper is out on PRX Quantum (link below) but this work would have not been possible without the 2024 PRISM award winner, Qu-APC! Qu-APC's job is to actively compensate for polarization drifts in telecom fibers in real time, allowing us to use polarization qubits and entangled states. By doing so we can significantly benefit from the ease of creation, manipulation, and measurement of these states while making sure we are always maintaining a very high end-to-end fidelity across our networks. Interested to learn more about Qu-APC? reach out to us at anytime! https://lnkd.in/e_Q5RYCQ

A beautiful piece on APS Physics Magazine about our latest PRXQ paper, written by Charles Day ⬇️ I'm not going to lie, I'm still as obsessed with quantum entanglement as I was back in high school where I heard of it for the first time. Every year we are trying to understand, just a bit more, the role entanglement plays in forming the universe around us. To the extend that some theories even put it more fundamental than space-time itself. It just feels so natural, and to a sense ultimate, to move towards the era of entanglement communication. And I'm just so happy and privileged to live a life where I can play mu role in this field, together with every amazing team member at Qunnect and all the fascinatingly brilliant scientists around the world. I hope you all enjoy this paper as much as we enjoyed making it a reality in our beautiful city 💜

Entanglement distribution under the streets of NYC, now on PRX Quantum and Featured in Physics by APS! The list of everyone to thank for this work is the new definition of infinity but a special thanks to the amazing team at the PRX Quantum and all the reviewers who so kindly invest their time to improve this manuscript. And of course as always a huge thanks and congrats to our entire team at Qunnect and all of you who always believed in us ❤️

I'm so so thrilled to see our first GothamQ paper formally published in my most favorite journal, PRX Quantum 🎉 (link at the end) I've published many papers as a grad student, postdoc, and now a group lead but this work is so unique to me. To be fully honest, for the first time I feel like we have done something really impactful! On the surface, this is a very simple work! We distributed entanglement in NYC. But in reality this paper is the result of 4 years of nonstop hard work of our physicists, engineers, and software developers. We had to invent and manufacture a new entanglement source that works at room temperature (hence actually useful for qu. networking) but has lots of advantages over all the other alternative options. We had to invent and manufacture the devices that very rapidly and with very low loss monitor the infrastructure for any imperfections. We had to write thousands of lines of codes so both devices work together automatically and without any need for manual optimization. And on top of all that we had to negotiate and build a quantum testbed in one of the world's most busy and chaotic cities. We did all that to prove one thing: Entanglement distribution is ready for prime time, beyond academic and research testbeds. The technology has reached a pivotal point where everything is robust and high quality for practical use cases by a much wider community than just quantum physicists. This shift is not only essential for us to be able to use entanglement for applications we already know of, but also to make it widely available for much more creative people than us to constantly think of use cases for quantum networks and entanglement links. I really hope if you are in this field, you enjoy reading this paper and as always don't hesitate to reach out to me for any questions. Goes without saying, this work is all thanks to our amazing team at Qunnect, and a huge congrats to all the authors Alexander Craddock, Anne Lazenby, Gabriel Bello Portmann, Rourke Sekelsky, Maël Flament https://lnkd.in/eteZNASt

A big step forward! Last week we became the first quantum company to successfully install a full rack solution and demonstrate live compensation and validation of polarization entanglement between two remote location connected via optical fiber links. Gotham Rack is the first of our full-solution rack series deployed. Built for researchers, these racks are designed to turn entablement-based quantum networks into a turn-key option. There are so many emerging or expanding quantum testbeds around the world and often it takes months to be able to distribute entanglement before the researchers can even start their project. Gotham Rack not only reduces the start up time to less than 1 week, our full hardware and software solution is built for robustness and 24/7 operation without minimal need for manual tuning or maintenance. Additionally, the rack includes all of our state-of-the-art products together with the best hardware from our partner companies in order to offer an all-in-one solution. We are all building the quantum networks and the industry together. Qunnect's main goal is to make entanglement distribution so easy and accessible that any potential partner and customer from any market sector could benefit from our technologies without the need to have a deep knowledge (or a large staff of physicists) of opto-atomic and entanglement hardware. This is possible through our robust design of fully room-temperature quantum hardware, packaged with our comprehensive controlling and monitoring software suite. If you are interested in this product suite don't hesitate to reach out to us here or at [email protected].

I might be a first-time founder but I can already tell you what a big role supportive and understanding investors play for deep-tech startups. Quantonation has join every single funding round we had at Qunnect so far and always played a major role in helping us form global collaborations and gain visibility. Watch this nice video put together by them about our partnership. Thanks a lot Christophe Jurczak, Eléonore de Rose, and William Zeng for making this happen.
