Meet Jim, Publix Pharmacy Supervisor My Publix career began in 1993 when I started in the pharmacy as an Assistant Pharmacy Manager in Boca Raton, FL. Back then, my area only had 42 pharmacies, but today Publix Pharmacy has grown significantly, which reflects the increasing importance this department holds throughout the organization. Our pharmacy associates bring great value to our customers' overall health and well-being. My advice for aspiring pharmacists, pharmacy interns, and new graduates is that you play a critical role in our communities. The current landscape of managed care limits the time medical providers spend with patients, so the time that Publix Pharmacy associates spend with customers is more vital to healthcare than it's ever been. Looking towards the future, the next 30 years of community pharmacy will likely see further consolidation of companies and industry-wide PBM reform. Publix’s strong pharmacy leadership and the dedication of our pharmacy associates will ensure our bright future. We remain committed to serving the needs of our communities for the next 30 years! #PublixPharmacy #ComeCareWithUs

Since her first day in 1974, Printing Services associate Bridget F. knew she wanted to grow her career with Publix. Last week, she celebrated 50 years of dedicated service—and her retirement! Bridget has supported projects across our company and played a vital role in thousands of printing jobs. “She always has a can-do attitude,” said Meredith, Bridget’s manager. “It’s been a joy to have her on our team.” Bridget’s favorite part of working at Publix has been the people who have become like family to her. “We laughed, cried, and even sang together,” she said. Bridget and a few of her coworkers became known for their melodic approach to spreading joy. “Every time someone in our department had a birthday, we’d go sing to them,” she said. “That’s one of my favorite Publix memories.” Thank you, Bridget, for being a beacon of positivity and inspiration at Publix!

Meet Stan, Pharmacy Supervisor at Publix. When I started with Publix, the company felt like family, which made me realize it was where I wanted to build my career. Over my 40 years here, I've formed many friendships and enjoyed countless rewarding experiences. Watching pharmacy technicians and pharmacy interns grow into valuable members of our operations and corporate leadership has been especially fulfilling. Publix consistently challenges every associate to give their best to customers and the community. Working for a company that values its associates as much as its customers has been a privilege. As their numerous awards show, Publix remains a great place to work, and I feel blessed to be part of it. #PublixPharmacy #ComeCareWithUs

Born in Norristown, PA, Hugh moved to Florida at a young age. He is one of three children and was raised by his mom in Jacksonville, FL. Growing up he enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding jet skis, hanging out at the beach, and playing football. Hugh is an Industrial Safety Trainer for Publix and celebrates Black History Month every February. “To me, Black History Month is a condensed version of the great achievements, contributions, and resilience of Black People throughout history. I personally celebrate by shopping locally at black-owned businesses and acknowledging those before me. Both my grandfather and my wife's ancestors were involved in pivotal moments of African American history” During Black History Month, Hugh and his wife cook a mixture of traditional Haitian and African American dishes to honor them. Hugh is thankful to work for a company that has granted him several opportunities to advance throughout his career. “I am proud to say that working at Publix I am part of a team; we may geographically or culturally be different but through Publix, we have cultivated a family-oriented culture that promotes great customer service, safety, and success."

Born in Bartow, Florida, Natalie dreamed of working for Publix. She started her career in 2018 and is now the Manager of Employee Assistance Programs. “I have always been a hard worker, when I got the opportunity to work for Publix, I was ready to rock it and do whatever I needed to do to work hard and excel.“ Natalie has faced many challenges throughout her life but is motivated by those who have fought for African Americans and minorities to provide the opportunities that she has today. “My journey has never been easy and nothing has ever just been given to me. “ “I have learned to embrace who I am, people in my past have fought so hard for me to be where I am today. I am very proud of where I came from, and I welcome the obstacles and tackle them head-on because I know it is God's way of preparing me. “
