Open Science Monitoring Initiative invites you to participate in their upcoming event in early December. Full details and registration can be found below. ⤵ #OpenScienceMonitoring #OpenScience
OSMI’s primary goals are to promote the worldwide adoption of #OpenScience Monitoring Principles, provide technical specifications for their implementation, and support stakeholders on various levels in monitoring OS practices. OSMI aims to meet these goals inclusively and collaboratively, acknowledging the importance of global representation to serve global needs. OSMI also recognizes the work of existing #OpenScienceMonitoring initiatives. The OSMI Initiators met for the first time at Inria in Paris on 20 September 2024 to discuss OSMI’s goals, pathways to good governance, and working groups. The Initiators include Evgeny Bobrov (Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin), Laetitia Bracco (Universite de Lorraine), Andrea Davidson (SPARC Europe), Nicolas Fressengeas (Ministère de l'Enseignement supérieur et de la Recherche and Universite de Lorraine), Iain Hrynaszkiewicz (PLOS), Anastasia Iarkaeva (Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin), Ana Persic (UNESCO), Vanessa Proudman (SPARC Europe), and Laurent Romary (Inria). Two upcoming events will invite you to participate in OSMI. Please consider joining us for one of the following: 📅 A meeting of the UNESCO Open Science Monitoring Working Group where OSMI will be presented on Tuesday, 5 November 2024 between 1 pm and 3 pm CET. PLOS ONE Senior Staff Editor Marianne Clemence will be in Lisbon this week for EPH Conference. Excited to discuss research in public health, #OpenScience and #Publishing, Marianne is on the conference app. Feel free to reach out! Event details here: https://plos.io/4fE7Qtm. #EPH #EPH2024 #EUPHAatEPH2024
Dear EPH Conference Community, As you may have seen on our website, the EPH 2024 conference is fully booked. This year’s event has broken all previous attendance records, and we are deeply grateful for the trust you place in our program and organization. This record-breaking achievement underscores the importance of public health in Europe and beyond. Unfortunately, many interested participants that are important to the conference were not able to secure a conference slot in time. We understand and acknowledge the disappointment expressed by some regarding the closure of registrations for the upcoming EPH Conference in Lisbon. Due to unprecedented interest, this is the first time in our history that we have reached full capacity. As organizers, we are committed to ensuring a safe, high-quality environment for all attendees; therefore, room capacity limitations and security protocols have required this decision. While we explored ways to accommodate additional participants, including potential no-shows and alternative seating options, our logistical capabilities are fully utilized. At this time, we cannot establish a waitlist or make individual exceptions. We understand the frustration this may cause and are working on long-term solutions to better meet demand in future conferences. 🌟 We have made arrangements to allow some virtual participation and are happy to announce that for the first time, EPH plenary sessions will be broadcast live on our YouTube channel: EPH Conference YouTube https://lnkd.in/eCbWA86h and across multiple platforms : EUPHA Linkedin, ANMSP Facebook and APPSP Youtube. 🌟 We appreciate your enthusiasm for the EPH Conference and your understanding of the challenges we face. This overwhelming interest emphasizes the growing need for shared public health knowledge, and we are committed to expanding our capacity to better meet this demand in the years ahead. Thank you for your understanding and ongoing support. The EPH Conference Board #EPH #EPH2024 #EUPHAatEPH2024
