Today I joined Chase Stokes of “Outer Banks” to launch the American Eagle Foundation, which will focus on the mental health crisis gripping young people. It was only fitting to make the announcement on World Mental Health Day, and the drop of “Outer Banks” Season 4. Chase’s openness about his personal mental health journey has led to significant actions by AE since 2021. In fact, AE has become the largest contributor to Glenn Close’s Bring Change to Mind non-profit, which focuses on de-stigmatizing mental health challenges. In a full circle moment, the AE Foundation will make its first grant to BCTM, bringing our contributions to over $1.6 million. Plus, effective immediately, our customers can take action, by donating to the AE Foundation at check out, either in-stores or online. This new commitment isn’t just a philanthropic afterthought. It’s deeply integrated into AE’s recently launched “Live Your Life” brand platform, encouraging today’s digital generation to embrace connection and optimism.
