Earlier this month, Providence’s Women’s Roundtable hosted their Women’s Breakfast, an event that brought together women from the Providence team, portfolio companies, and the investor community. The event featured a fireside chat led by Laura Desmond, Providence Operating Partner, and CEO of Smartly, alongside Elizabeth Lindsey, Global President, Brands and Properties at Wasserman and Angela Ruggiero, Co-Founder & Chair of Sports Innovation Lab and Olympic Gold Medalist. They explored the recent growth in media coverage and future potential within women’s sports. The discussion highlighted the current investing landscape in women’s sports, why some investors are capitalizing on this movement, and the role brands, media, consumers, and fans are playing in this new era of increased engagement in the industry. Providence is honored to be part of the Women in Media Investing (WIMI) initiative for the 2nd year in a row. WIMI seeks to promote connectivity amongst media and entertainment investors through increasing engagement, educating the next generation of investment professionals, and facilitating networking opportunities. This year's panel was focused on engaging early career female finance professionals. Providence Vice President, Ahana Maken along with Alicia Zhu, Hayley Donaldson, and Glenda Chan shared how they built their careers in media investing, ways that investors shape the media and entertainment landscape, and recent market trends affecting these industries. In June, we held our Annual Executive Summit in New York City, hosting executives from over 20 of our portfolio companies. We believe this event was a great opportunity for our executives to network with peers, our advisors, and the Providence team. We've enjoyed seeing this event evolve over the past few years and look forward to future Summits with our team!

Since our investment in 2017, Globeducate has expanded from 21 schools with around 11,000 students in 4 countries to a network of 65 schools educating over 40,000 students in 11 countries. Since its establishment in 2017 by Providence, Superstruct has grown organically and through acquisitions into one of the world’s premier live entertainment groups, owning and operating a well-diversified portfolio of festivals across music genres and geographies.   Providence’s Senior Managing Director and Director, Andrew Tisdale and Daniel Zwicky shared that they are “incredibly proud of the rapid growth and success Superstruct has achieved since its inception,” and added that “We are confident that with KKR’s support, Superstruct will continue to thrive.”    Congratulations to everyone involved!
