Prinsco was proud to work with Civil Site Group, PC on a unique system featured in Stormwater Solutions Magazine and awarded "2022 Project of the Year" by the Plastics Pipe Institute Drainage Division. An excerpt from the article: "Focusing on sustainable green construction methods and best management practices (BMPs), The Fred residential apartment complex in Edina, Minnesota, included a rainwater harvesting and reuse system in its design. The project used a large diameter polypropylene pipe for the system that can hold nearly 3,400 cubic feet of water used for irrigation with an additional nearly 1,500 cubic feet used for live storage for the 5.5-acre site. It was named Project of the Year for 2022 by the Drainage Division of the Plastics Pipe Institute, Inc. (PPI)." The interior of our HydroStor® stormwater chambers accounts for about 65% of the storage capacity in a chamber retention/detention system. An additional 35% of the installed storage happens in the embedment stone surrounding the chambers.

This underground chamber system installed in Lakeville, MN uses 4 miles of HydroStor® HS180 chambers, a 45-inch tall chamber made of polypropylene resin. It's designed to go beneath a parking lot to infiltrate stormwater collected from the impervious pavement above or any other area where water is unable to infiltrate back into the ground. Prinsco's Goldflo® Pipe Supports Affordable Housing Development in Colorado. This project will provide 192 much-needed housing units to the community, serving a range of incomes to address local needs. Installed in the Spring of 2022, 230 Prinsco HydroStor® HS180 chambers provide 46,000 cubic feet of storage for two new LAX parking and automated people mover lots. The chambers are manufactured to AASHTO Section 12 loading requirements as well as ASTM F2418 and ASTM F2787 design and manufacturing standards. The system includes the Prinsco Sediment Row, which traps over 80% of silt and sediment and allows for simple and inexpensive maintenance. The design also incorporates a thermoplastic liner to eliminate infiltration and limit discharge to a pipe outlet system only. Prinsco manufactures four sizes of chambers, the HS290 (164 cubic feet of installed storage), HS180 (180 cubic feet), HS75 (75 cubic feet), and the HS31 (31 cubic feet), in addition to supplying inlet basins, piping, and manifolds to complete the entire system. We provide owners, engineers, and contractors with site specific layouts with detailed estimates, free of charge, normally within a 1-2 days, and we welcome the opportunity to provide pre-construction training. When it’s time to install underground water management systems in the desert, getting the job done quickly is imperative for the safety of the workers who deal with extreme heat. College students Harris and Griffin Duininck visited Arizona to check out a job site and learned that plastic is not only the most resilient solution for water management, but it’s also the easiest to install.
