Our Frontline Leadership Program is a key developmental opportunity for leaders in our company. Six modules take place over six months, during which participants are exposed to management skills throughout the classes, given the opportunity to practice those skills during a month-long soak time, and then reflect on what they learned at the next month’s class. The culmination of this program is a graduation when senior leadership and other groups from across the company come to celebrate the participants’ hard work and progress. This graduation was a special one for everyone involved. The morning of the graduation, the group participated in a volunteer event at US Hunger where over 10,000 meal kits were assembled by the group in an hour. Carrying the positive vibes of making a difference in the community with them, the group then proceeded to graduation where this cohesive unit celebrated each other’s success. This volunteer event was organized by Chris Bradley, and this graduation was the first for her since her return to PMI. These graduates, and the company, are so blessed to have Chris back. Her presence and support created an atmosphere that allowed these managers, some of them very new in their roles, to relax and fully benefit from the training provided during these modules. It is no easy task to take complete strangers from their regular duties in different cities, different lines of business, different departments and turn them into close coworkers and even friends after a handful of meetings, but this program under Chris’s guidance accomplished exactly that. Congratulations, graduates! Thank you for your dedication to this program and everything you do at PMI! #proud2bCRH #seestopdo #SafetyFirst

Recently, Representative Johanna López visited Preferred Materials, Inc Winter Park concrete plant in Orlando, Florida and shared words of encouragement with students as they head back to school. 📚 To support our community’s young learners, we hosted a back-to-school giveaway for our employees’ children and grandchildren, providing over 600 backpacks filled with essential school supplies. 🎒 By providing these resources, we’re helping to EDUCATE and empower our future leaders. Their commitment to supporting our schools and communities has a profound IMPACT on the lives of these families. We are truly inspired by their generosity and dedication.

Join us in congratulating Les Herndon on a well-deserved retirement.   This week, after over 35 years in the ready-mix world, Les retired from Preferred Materials.  Les started his career with Schwab RM, which was acquired by PMI in 2010.  During his career, Les held many different titles and became a reliable wealth of knowledge for his coworkers.  His tremendous effort and willingness to help will be missed by all.  Les and his wife are planning out things for his retirement, but for now he is planning on enjoying sleeping in! #Congrats #Retirement #thankyou

John Groover did not hesitate. One night last August, John, Maintenance of Traffic Supervisor for Preferred Materials Asphalt, was on a paving job with his crew in Orlando when he heard the telltale sound of a car hitting safety cones. These safety cones were in place to close the lane and keep him and his coworkers safe while they were paving. John saw something, and he stopped and did something. He sprang into action and maneuvered his truck in front of the intoxicated driver, preventing the speeding vehicle from colliding with the crew. There is no doubt that his actions saved lives that night. John’s act of heroism was recognized at a safety briefing yesterday as the Orlando crews gathered to kick off the second half of the year. The tone in the room was a testament to John’s courage as participants applauded with resounding gratitude and respect. John was awarded Liberty Mutual’s Lifesaver award: a distinction awarded to 20 recipients per year, out of a customer base of over 700,000. John’s family attended the presentation, and his sons witnessed firsthand the tremendous impact their father’s actions had on his coworkers. Everyone was reminded of the many reasons behind why we pledge to put safety first. This prestigious award was the perfect culmination as it followed many other awards to members of our crews who also demonstrate a commitment to safety and lead by example. It only takes one person to make a difference, and John’s story is a stellar example that everyone took to heart. #ProudofOurPeople #SafetyFirst #OneCRH
