Yielding is not an option if we want to undo the systemic damage that keeps people from opportunity and abundance. At PEAK, we believe that spurring philanthropy to drive toward racial equity and make transformational shifts to better serve disadvantaged people and communities begins with us. 2023 was a year of organizational growth and evolution. I'm honored to be featured in PEAK Grantmaking's CEO to CEO interview series! Thank you, PEAK, for the opportunity to share insights on my leadership journey and navigating leadership in today’s philanthropic landscape. Engaging in these conversations is always meaningful, especially when it comes to exploring how we can continue supporting nonprofits, centering community well-being, and addressing the vital issues of our time. I’m grateful for the chance to reflect on the role of our sector in fostering resilience and equity—and for PEAK Grantmaking’s commitment to elevating these discussions. Also, is it too early for me to say that I can hardly wait for PEAK's 2025 conference in New Orleans?! #Leadership #Philanthropy #CommunityImpact #ThankYou

PEAK team news! This month, we are excited to welcome Jen Sarduy (left, below) as our new communications director. A facilitator, writer, and relationship manager, Jen has applied their skills as a community organizer and creative professional to produce innovative storytelling campaigns that move change forward. We also say farewell to Betsy Reid. She joined PEAK in 2019 as communications director, where she has expanded PEAK’s reach, influence, and reputation throughout the sector through our strategic communications program, publications, resources, and member experiences. In 2024, she became PEAK’s inaugural chief strategy officer, where she worked across our teams to align initiatives and amplify the organization’s impact. Betsy has left an indelible mark on PEAK through her leadership and myriad contributions, and we send her off with our deepest gratitude and best wishes as she embarks on the next part of her journey.
