Still seeing a lot of people posting about having a very poor interviewing experience with companies. No interview feedback, complete ghosting, 6+ stage interview processes, telling candidate's that "we're so close to making an offer, we'd just like to see a couple of other candidates before we do". If you are a company hiring niche talent, the experience that you give candidates during your interview process is absolutely vital. It's a very small grapevine out there in your chosen sector be it, Technology, Supply-Chain, Renewables etc.... Creating a positive candidate experience during the interview process reflects your organization's culture and values which in turn influences candidates' perceptions and decisions. Even if you turn a candidate down, if they leave with a good experience speaking with your company, THAT IS A GOOD THING! Candidates are more likely to speak positively about your company, boosting your brand in a close-knit ecosystem. On the other hand, a poor candidate experience can deter potential employees and will damage your image. Prioritizing a good candidate experience is an investment in your company's future success.
