We’re wrapping up another busy season for CESER! Our Principal Deputy Director, Lili Colon, has been on the move, sharing CESER’s mission to protect our nation’s critical energy infrastructure. Lili engaged with global audiences and shared insights on building resilience and security in the energy sector. Highlights include: -CyManII | Cybersecurity Manufacturing Innovation Institute's Secure Together Summit in San Antonio, TX, where they discussed the collective efforts of industry, academic and government partners, like CESER, to build solutions that protect the U.S. manufacturing sector. -PDD Colon also joined the Office of Petroleum Reserves and visited the Strategic Petroleum Reserve Bayou Choctaw Crude Oil Storage Facility in Baton Rouge, LA to learn more about the daily process and functions of crude oil at each site. -Finally, she spoke about women leading the charge for a clean energy future at a virtual dialogue for ECPA - Energy and Climate Partnership of the Americas. Thank you to all who joined us to hear and learn about our mission for a secure energy future!

U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is continuing to support communities affected by Hurricane Helene, and stands ready to respond to Hurricane Milton. Milton is expected to be a major hurricane with potentially life-threatening winds and storm surges. Please heed evacuation warnings and get to safety as quickly as possible.

As communities begin their recovery efforts, please continue to exercise caution. U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security, and Emergency Response (CESER) encourages everyone to listen to the safety messages published by your state officials, FEMA, and local utilities on how to remain safe around downed power lines and while using backup generators.

U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) will continue to support grid resilience as we respond to the devastation left in the wake of Hurricane Helene. In coordination with The White House and interagency partners, DOE CESER deployed responders to support the federal-state response efforts and we are working with industry partners to support their power restoration efforts.
