As we navigate this summer, NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration’s prediction of a hot and wet season brings critical considerations for our stakeholders in the SERC Reliability Corporation region. High electricity demand and vegetation growth will pose challenges for utility operations. Utilities in our area need to ensure we have resources to serve the load, prepare their vegetation management programs, and check equipment and test procedures to ensure reliability and safety.
