The field trips are always a big hit with our EYES students! During our Cobb County EYES Fall Break camp, the students toured the AMC Parkway Pointe theater and learned about cleaning, food service, ticket taking, and how to provide excellent customer service. They also went to Alpha Equestrian Center to gain knowledge about horse care and therapy, and Scottsdale Farms to hear about various types of plants and how to maintain them. #EmpoweringStudents

We recognize National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) each October to commemorate the many contributions of people with disabilities to America’s workplaces and economy. The theme for NDEAM 2024 is “Access to Good Jobs for All.” At Tommy Nobis Center, we know that good jobs change lives, and all workers—including those with disabilities—deserve the opportunity to prepare for, obtain, and succeed in them. Join us in fostering inclusive communities where people with disabilities are afforded the opportunity to work. #NDEAM

Today was our first day in our new location at 240 Interstate N. Parkway, Atlanta. Our teammates eagerly arrived this morning to the newly renovated education and training center. We can’t wait to share our new home with the community during two Open House drop-in events scheduled for November 13 and 14 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. each day. Everyone is invited, so mark your calendar and plan to stop by for a visit. It is an amazing place where we will be able to change many lives. #EmpoweringPeople

We’d like to thank Superior Plumbing for their extraordinary support of TNC’s mission and students this September that included a tour of Superior HQ for our Academy students; inclusion in Sunday’s Superior Plumbing Friends & Family Fair VIP Event, which was a unique opportunity for Superior Plumbing KIDS & TNC families to enjoy the fairgrounds without the stress of crowds; and a TNC Takeover of Superior’s tents at the fairgrounds this Monday & Tuesday. Be sure to come out tonight and see our staff at the Superior tent for Special Populations Night. Thank you again to Superior Plumbing Services, Inc., Dru Expeditions, and North Georgia State Fair for your investment in Tommy Nobis Center and people with disabilities in our community.
