The New York State Education Department’s Office of Education Policy is seeking candidates for an Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) position in the Office of Facilities Planning. There are two openings for this position. The application deadline is August 13, 2024. The Office of Facilities Planning is primarily responsible for code enforcement, life safety, and health safety in all public K-12 schools and BOCES in the State, exclusive of New York City. Under the supervision of a higher-level engineer, the incumbent of this position will perform engineering work to support review and approval of engineering construction documents for capital construction undertaken by public school districts and BOCES that require the approval of the Commissioner of Education. The 2024 Summer Food Service Program, which will provide free meals to approximately 400,000 young people, kicks off this month at nearly 2,500 sites statewide. It is anticipated that more than 20 million nutritious meals will be served to New York State’s children this summer. https://bit.ly/3WgfZxp An interactive USDA online map helps families search for a service site by address, city, or zip code. Families can find directions to nearby meal sites, as well as their hours of operation and contact information.
