The NVFC was grateful for the opportunity to testify at a hearing held by the House Committee on Education and the Workforce last week. Tim Bradley, an NVFC director from NC, testified on the NVFC’s behalf. The testimony emphasized that if OSHA’s proposed Emergency Response Standard is adopted as written, it would be economically infeasible for volunteer fire departments to comply with. The response to this program has gone well beyond our expectations, even our server had trouble keeping up with the demand! We’ll be sure to address this for future programs. We encourage you to explore other opportunities available to the volunteer fire and emergency services at https://bit.ly/3RuxyGf.
