On June 14th, 17 NFL Legends convened at the Microsoft headquarters in Redmond, WA, to celebrate their graduation from the inaugural Microsoft Leap NFL Legend Cohort - Technical Program Management pathway. This program, run jointly by the NFL Player Care Foundation (PCF) and Microsoft, provides former NFL players with hands-on education, training sessions, and networking opportunities, allowing them to use their NFL experiences to kick off their tech careers.   At the session, these NFL Legends gathered to hear panels from Microsoft and NFL executives, tour the Microsoft campus as a team, network, and deliver their final group presentations to an audience of employers, culminating in their graduation from the Microsoft Leap program.   A big congratulations to these NFL Legends – we can’t wait to see how your tech careers flourish!    For more information about this program and other services and resources offered to former NFL players through the NFL Player Care Foundation (PCF), please visit: https://lnkd.in/enhRmEnj

The Digital Athlete platform, an innovative AI tool, simulates millions of scenarios to assess player performance and injury risk so that club and league leaders can make more informed, data-driven decisions about player care and game protocols both on and off the field.

This past week, executives across the League and club’s football and front offices traveled to Stanford University for a week-long intensive focused on accelerating the participants' leadership and business acumen. This marks the fourth year of the program, which was created to build the NFL’s C-suite pipeline.

This week, mid-career professionals from across the NFL Clubs and the League Office are enhancing their leadership skills at Michigan Ross School of Business Executive Education. The program focuses on transformational leadership, strategic execution, and cultivating an inclusive culture. We are excited to announce that submissions to our second annual NFL Photo Virtual Portfolio Reviews are now open! Selected participants will be invited to a virtual 1-on-1 review session with members of the NFL Photo department's team of experienced editors and photographers. Final review sessions will take place July 22th-26th, 2024.

Last Thursday, in honor of #AAPIHeritageMonth, the #NFL Asian Professional Exchange (APEX) Employee Resource Group teamed up with five Sports Leagues (#MLB, #MLS, #NBA, #NHL, and #USOPC) to host the annual 2024 AAPI Sports and Culture Symposium alongside TDW+Co at the League Headquarters in New York. The symposium was moderated by Michael Yam and featured two panel discussions of athletes Reagan Rust – Former Premier Hockey Federation Player, Luis Robles, Former Player, Inter Miami CF & NY Red Bulls, Zaire Barnes – Linebacker, NY Jets and executive leaders Janaki Cash – VP Ticketing & Revenue, NY Mets, Jessica Park – Chief of Brand & Fan Engagement, USOPC, Tammy Henault – CMO, NBA on how they are changing the game on and off the field. It was an incredible evening of discussion and community building with over 250 internal and external attendees joining in person and virtually from across the Sports industry. Thanks to everyone for celebrating with us! 

Throughout AAPI Heritage Month, we’re celebrating impact-makers across the league whose Asian and Pacific Islander descent plays a crucial role in their lives. Kara Kawakami is the manager of Corporate Partnership Sales for the Minnesota Vikings, and her Korean-American heritage has helped her bring a unique perspective to her role.
