Malaysia’s AI Future Takes Centre Stage at the ASEAN AI Malaysia Summit 2025 At the Nexus Stage today, the conversation turned to one of the nation’s priorities — building a coordinated, future-ready AI agenda. During the ‘Powering Malaysia’s AI Future: A Coordinated National Agenda’ session, our CEO, Anuar Fariz Fadzil, joined YBhg. Tuan Fabian Bigar, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Digital, and Shamsul Majid, Head of the National AI Office Malaysia (NAIO), in a discussion moderated by Sundara Raj Ramamurthy Raj, Chief Digital Officer of PwC Malaysia. From nurturing top-tier AI talent to building robust digital infrastructure, the discussion made one thing clear: a unified approach is key to positioning Malaysia as the region’s AI powerhouse. After the session, our CEO also explored the ASEAN AI Malaysia Summit 2025 exhibition, witnessing first-hand the innovation, creativity, and forward-thinking solutions shaping the future of AI in the region. #SayaDigital #MalaysiaDigital #ASEANAIMalaysia2025 #ASEANAIMalaysiaSummit2025

Is ASEAN Ready for a Data Centre Boom — Without the Climate Cost? ASEAN’s digital economy is set to exceed USD 1 trillion by 2030, fuelled by AI, e-commerce and cloud services. As data centres rapidly grow, their energy use, water consumption and carbon emissions present both challenges and opportunities for sustainable growth. Recognising data centre development as a key infrastructure priority, ASEAN Member States are joining forces to develop a regional guide for sustainable data centre growth; aligning national policies, enhances planning and ensuring smart, climate-resilient infrastructure that keeps the region competitive and future-ready. This ASEAN Guide on Sustainable Data Centre Development will help coordinate efforts across the region to avoid fragmented, resource-heavy systems and promote smart, sustainable growth that meets regional climate goals. #SayaDigital #MalaysiaDigital
