Commissioner Thomas Mastrangelo, Jessica Tomalo, Morris County Veterans Services Program Coordinator and Christine Hellyer, Director of Aging, Disabilities and Community Programming, recently visited Montville VFW Post 5481 to present services available to local veterans through the Morris County Veterans Services Office. Special thanks to Post Commander Ken Hanzl and Thomas Mazzaccaro for helping coordinate the visit. The Morris County Veterans Services Office assists veterans and their families with VA benefits, healthcare, home loans, education, job assistance, and more, including referrals for community services, transportation, and Memorial Day flags. They also manage applications for the Distinguished Military Service Medal, awarded by the Board of County Commissioners to honorably discharged veterans who are current or former Morris County residents.
