Uplifting and entertaining are two of the many heartwarming ways our generous sponsors, donors and guests described this year's MJHS Hospice Goes to Broadway event! We started with cocktails and dinner, moved on to a celebration of amazing people, and ended the night on our feet because we raised $263,000 and had so much fun at Hell's Kitchen-The Musical. Our program was kicked off by Steven L. Topal, MJHS Foundation Board Chair, followed by a hearty congratulations to Linda Rhodes with Morgan Stanley, recipient of our 2024 MJHS Health System Philanthropic Leadership Award. David Wagner, our CEO, talked about the many ways Linda's supported our organization. Brad Fluegel, our incoming MJHS Health System Chair, surprised Danielle Rollmann, our outgoing MJHS Health System Board Chair, with the MJHS Visionary Award. And then Joshua, a family caregiver, spoke from the heart about what MJHS Hospice, particularly music therapy, means to his family. We appreciate the following event sponsors for their exceptional generosity and mission-critical support this year: • Graystone Consulting from Morgan Stanley: Champion sponsor • Bestcare, Inc., L.I. Script and TD: Premier level • Enexia Pharmacy Group and Unitex: Event level • Jack Resnick & Sons, Inc.: Platinum level And shout out to our individual donors…because every contribution helps MJHS make a huge difference! #fundraiser #broadway #music #nycevents #thankyou

A little kindness goes a long way. Help older adults with daily tasks like raking leaves, join them for a walk or just listen to their stories. Choose kindness today and every day. #WorldKindessDay

It was a day to remember when MJHS returned to the NYC Veterans Day Parade, the largest commemoration of its kind in the country! Walking up the iconic 5th Avenue, staff from across our participating agencies shared the ways we care for, support and guide Veterans and their families; honored Veterans in their lives; plus encouraged Veterans to apply for our open roles! Did you walk or watch the parade? COMMENT with your experience at this meaningful event! Thanks to our colleagues, and their loved ones, for representing us behind the MJHS banner: Ashton J. Stewart, Audrey Waters, David Roberts, Jessica Garcia-Robinson, Lillian Anazagasty-Pursoo, Max Stern, Rebecca Lopez, Reggie Sanders, Scott Demeranville, Stacy Lieber and Tamera George. #VeteransDay #WeHonorVeterans #WHV #HAPC #Hospice #PalliativeCare

Making every moment count – that’s what our hospice and palliative care teams hope to achieve while offering comfort and support to our patients. As they manage pain and symptoms, our care teams also offer emotional and spiritual support to make a patient’s final months, weeks and days as comfortable and meaningful as possible. While palliative care offers specialized care for serious illnesses, hospice care provides compassionate and dignified end-of-life care.
