The simplicity of the feature lowers the bar and encourages a habit of donation, and to date our users have sent a total of 285,069,673 Japanese yen to causes from disaster relief to education. Mercari recently welcomed over 6,000 participants online and in-person to Cursor Meetup Tokyo, one in a global series of events for users of the AI-powered code editor Cursor. From non-engineers exploring new creative uses to researchers and enterprises tackling real-world challenges, the sessions underscored both practical uses for AI tools and issues faced in adopting them across various industries. In Mercari’s own session, our engineers shared how we built an active Cursor community by simplifying access to AI tools and even running a bold experiment requiring participants to let Cursor handle all their coding for a week, sparking mindset shifts that go far beyond implementation. Every year, Mercari holds Family Day as a way to express our gratitude to the families and friends who support our employees every day. This year, we welcomed approximately 1,300 visitors to our Tokyo headquarters, turning the entire floor into a lively space for fun activities, fond memories, and warm connections.
