About us
Investing in Marines for Duty, Home & Self MCCS exists to serve Marines and their families through our Mission, Vision, and Values that revolve around the Marine Corps ethos of Honor, Courage, and Commitment. Spread across 20+ military Installations and in deployed environments, our goal is to move with Marines throughout their career and into retirement. Our key mission is to enable Marines to adapt, thrive, and stay mission-ready with purpose-driven programs and solutions. This way, we can stay true to our promise of helping Marines adapt, thrive, and win life’s battles. MCCS also partners with Marine Corps Hospitality Services (MCHS) to provide lodging at Installations for Marines and their families. Beyond the Marine, the readiness of the Corps depends heavily on the secured support system at home. MCCS programs support families facing the shifting tides and challenges of modern military life. Some employees are spouses and dependents of Marines, and some are veterans and retirees, but all of them are part of the Marine Corps family. MCCS is part of our Corps, and the MCCS Ecosystem is designed to provide Commanders with Quality-of-Life programs that enhance and enable individual Marine readiness and lethality throughout our force.

If you wonder why I work where I do please read below. I believe whole heartedly in our mission and those we serve.
Here is a future to imagine…. -------------- It was 1600 on a Friday afternoon, and Lance Corporal (LCpl) Davis, from 8th Motor Transport Battalion, was behind the wheel of a 7-ton truck, navigating the dusty roads from Landing Zone Blue Bird. After a grueling week of field training and surviving on MREs, all LCpl Davis could think about was sinking her teeth into a hot meal at the chow hall. But as the truck rumbled along, it suddenly lurched to one side—thump! LCpl Davis felt the jarring impact of a deep pothole. She knew immediately: flat tire. Frustration washed over her as she pulled over and radioed for the wrecker, the clock ticking away precious minutes. Sitting on the roadside, waiting for help to arrive, LCpl Davis’s thoughts drifted back to that hot meal she was craving. But with each passing minute, the reality set in: the chow hall would close long before she made it back to main side. Just as disappointment began to set in, LCpl Davis remembered something that brought a sense of relief. The Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) had recently started allowing meal entitlements to be used at all MCCS eating establishments across the base. With two days left until payday and money running tight, it was a comfort to know she could still get a hot meal, even if the chow hall was out of reach. The thought brought a small smile to her face as she waited by the truck, knowing that sometimes, in the midst of chaos, there’s still a way to find a little bit of comfort. ---------------- Although fictional, this story is not far in the future. With the support of MCIPAC we completed a successful pilot and are moving into a technology acquisition phase to make this a reality. Our Commandant published Planning Guidance this week. The Quality of Life section includes several Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) related programs. Meal entitlements at our MCCS food establishments is one of the highlighted capabilities. We are maintaining our momentum and getting after it.
