    With Hurricane Milton heading towards Florida, Informa's #TMRE2024 has understandably been postponed. While we are disappointed to be missing our insights community, our hearts and minds are with the state of Florida as we wait to see what unfolds. At Material, we’ve dedicated our practice to the understanding of how humans behave under all sorts of conditions.     Our team had a great time at DrupalCon Europe participating in engaging sessions, networking with marketing and technology leaders and meeting Dries Buytaert, Drupal Founder. Some of the conference highlights include: ⭐ Material’s Reena Tripathi, Senior Account Director, Anubhav Gupta, Senior Product Manager, and GC Dental’s Eric Luijer, on stage together presenting the brand’s digital transformation and exploring how our team leveraged Drupal to streamlined processes, enhance engagement and optimized membership management for dental professionals. ⭐ Reena co-presented a lightening session with TraceLink’s Ayushi Parate and Manish Kothare discussing how our partnership helped redefine TraceLink’s brand, driving user engagement and business growth.

    I recently presented at #BrazeForge2024 in Las Vegas with some of my Material colleagues. It was action-packed with insightful presentations for CRM/loyalty experts offering forward-thinking takeaways about what’s to come in the industry. Since the conference, many of our non-Loyalty clients have been asking about some key takeaways as they try and navigate the every-changing and complex MarTech landscape. So, here are a few of my takeaways!    1. Myth buster alert: there’s no such thing as consistent, personalized marketing at scale. However, within your owned channels, you can achieve the holy grail of true customer centricity. Acquisition, strategic segmentation, relevant personalization is far more manageable than you think... So long as you tap into behavioral science to truly unlock customer needs and when creating those ideal branded experiences. Regardless of the role or title, the activation of all things technology relies on everyone at the company. One of the best ways to drive impact via new technology is to flex those creative muscles! It’s amazing how simple ideas to existing tech can have outsized impact. 3. If you don’t learn to love change, then you better learn to love irrelevance! The pace of change in MarTech is accelerating, requiring more net new skills than ever before. To stay relevant, let alone to get ahead, requires active effort on a daily basis. 4. AI is not coming for your job, but it is going to fundamentally change the way you work. We’re now in an agent-based AI world where your AI “agent,” or sidekick, which is using GenAI, will truly enhance your marketing and analytic abilities...if you lean in. Agents help make you more effective by suggesting solutions and automating cumbersome campaign setup. And when personalized the right way, consumers are loving AI-created experiences and communications. The next iteration will be even more productive as the agent marries up a bespoke business need, in the context of your data, with GenAI. The best part is you also don’t need to be a techie to speak the agent’s language! 5. Governance, legal, privacy and ethical considerations are critical stage gates for any new technology you’re implementing. But it’s essential to get comfortable with moving fast and hitting some “bumps” in the road. Every one of our clients has hiccups as they’re further integrating new kinds of customer-centric technology in their stack and businesses...they’re just not talking about it publicly. 6. Zero Copy data access to popular data systems is going to solve a lot of problems and further democratize organization data. This should unlock many more use cases and scenarios for dynamic campaigns. As a non-techie…you definitely should be GEEKING out on this feature.
