Today, our Total Rewards team hosted a fantastic Health & Wellness Fair for our staff, featuring a variety of healthcare professionals on-site to help our employees prioritize their health. As an added bonus, attendees enjoyed free massages, reflexology, hand paraffin treatments, and manicures, making for a truly relaxing experience. A big shoutout to our dynamic Total Rewards team, for organizing such an awesome event! Your efforts are greatly appreciated and we thank you for keeping us healthy.

In honor of Hispanic/Latino Heritage Month, MLS is proud to spotlight Franco Chumbita, Help Desk Specialist for MLS/SUM.    Franco says that for him, the Somos MLS ERG “symbolizes a dynamic and enthusiastic network within MLS.”

Our Hispanic/Latino Heritage Month employee spotlight continues with Caroline Alvarado, Marketing & Promotions Manager for Match Business.    For Caroline, being a member of Somos MLS means “comunidad”. She continues that the ERG is about “creating space for Latinos, bringing up Latino issues and creating conversation.”

Our staff was thrilled to honor the 23rd Anniversary of 9/11 by volunteering at the 9/11 Day Meal Pack event, where we packed meals for those in need, including children, seniors, veterans, and families at risk of hunger in the New York City area. This meaningful event took place on Thursday, September 12th, at the Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum. The September 11th National Day of Service and Remembrance, known as “9/11 Day,” is organized annually by the nonprofit 9/11 Day. Its mission is to promote unity, empathy, and service in tribute to the victims, survivors, families, and the countless individuals who rose to serve in response to the attacks. Each year, over 30 million Americans observe 9/11 Day by volunteering, donating to charities, and performing simple acts of kindness to help others.

In celebration of Hispanic/Latino Heritage Month, MLS is proud to highlight members of the Somos MLS community. Meet Joe Rodriguez, Senior Director of Digital Content for MLS NEXT Pro.    Joe emphasizes the importance of representation of Latinos in sports: “We strive to showcase that people like me can excel in various ways throughout the world of sports.”

We express our sincere appreciation to our 2024 Summer Internship Class for their exceptional performance! We believe that their tenure here has equipped them with essential skills and experiences that will lay a strong foundation for their future endeavors. A special thank you to Stephanie King for curating an exceptional program and delivering an unforgettable summer experience filled with engaging events, including intern collaborations with New York City FC and New York Red Bulls, an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of our Apple Studio, as well as a visit to the LinkedIn offices where they learned how to "Rock Their Profiles", among others. The program was meticulously planned and executed, providing a truly enriching experience for all involved.
