M2DCON's Decon PLUS Kit is a low logistic decontamination technology for use against chemical and biological contaminants. Miah Nielsen)  U.S. Marines with CBRN Defense Platoon, Combat Logistics Regiment 17, 1st Marine Logistics Group, conduct a vehicle decontamination line applying the prototype decontamination for testing for the M333 Joint General Purpose Decontamination, which modified the original set-up for the decontamination line by removing one station making the line more effective. Seidensticker) In a EPA test report (EPA/600/R-22/164 | September 2022), M2DCON's Decon PLUS along with other decontaminants were tested for decontaminating Fourth Generations Agents. Decon PLUS performed significantly better than other peracetic acid based decontaminants and demonstrated why Decon PLUS was selected to be the US DoD's M333. Earlier this year, our partners at U.S. Army DEVCOM Chemical Biological Center and Defense Threat Reduction Agency hosted the Chemical and Biological Operational Analysis (CBOA) at Camp Lejeune. This Chemical and Biological Defense Program-funded event brings together government, industry, and academic developers with warfighters so they can provide feedback on developing CBRN defense technology. Is Dry Decontamination really dry??? Well, it depends. Dry decontamination can be the literal definition of dry – there is no liquids. This version of dry decon would include dry powders or dry gaseous decontamination. Alternatively, Dry Decontamination means no additional water is added to the decontaminant. This dry decontamination would include ready to use chemical solutions and pretreated or wetted substrates like wipes, sponges, mitts, etc. The newest technology from M2DCON was demonstrated at the Chemical Biological Operational Assessment at Camp Lejeune earlier this year – MāZR Decon powder with our enhanced DCON Mitt.
