5 years ago today, a lone Mandalorian bounty hunter made his debut in the premiere episode of Lucasfilm's first ever live action Star Wars series, #TheMandalorian. Since then, Din Djarin and his foundling Grogu have become fan favorite characters as they travel throughout the lawless galaxy.

Last month, Doug Chiang received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Concept Art Awards held at LightBox Expo. Every year, the Concept Art Association (CAA) awards the pioneers of the concept art industry for their contributions to the craft, and inspiring future generations of artists. The award was presented by Christian Alzmann, along with a special video message from George Lucas.

On April 22, 2025, #Andor returns to Disney+.

A ‘90s Disney World Star Tour-ist, everyone’s favorite phantom Slimer from Ghostbusters, and Kino Loy from Andor (this time in water wings) walk into a Motion-capture Stage… for Lucasfilm’s Halloween Party! As our current-day Lucasfilm and ILM employees in San Francisco finish out their intramural softball season (left), we’re taking it back to 1980 with a photo of that year's company softball team (right). At lower right in the yellow t-shirt is current Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy, who at the time was based at Lucasfilm while working as associate to director Steven Spielberg on Raiders of the Lost Ark, which released the following year.
