About us
Our industry isn’t short on challenges, but it can be short on delivering exceptional client experiences. Getting close to the mark is often considered “good enough.” But we all know how great it feels when someone delivers exactly what you need. Or better yet, more than what you were expecting. In our complex and often complicated industry, that means having a partner who takes the reins, navigates bumps, and delivers fresh solutions and impactful results. And most importantly, it means having a partner who provides the best project experience – for you, your stakeholders, and the community. A lot of companies talk about “best in class” service, but at Loureiro, delivering an exceptional client experience is what we do. We apply our training and technical skills to this commitment – continuously capturing and integrating learnings – so that we, too, can expect more of ourselves in how we serve clients. This unique approach, coupled with Loureiro’s broad range of integrated engineering, environmental and construction services, allows us to deliver ingenuity, flexibility, and a distinctly better level of service than anyone else in the business. Due to our team’s dedication and expertise across our breadth of services, we have a proven reputation for providing superior project results for our clients. We pride ourselves on our reputation of going beyond the norm in satisfying client needs — being there at odd hours to handle problems, responding faster and more completely than our competitors, and holding ourselves accountable for a successful outcome on every project. Every employee is an owner of the company, and each of us delivers with that ownership in mind. CONNECTICUT * MASSACHUSETTS * NEW HAMPSHIRE * RHODE ISLAND * NORTH CAROLINA * WASHINGTON DC

This year marks the 11th anniversary of International Women in Engineering Day, celebrated annually on June 23rd! It's a special day to honor the remarkable achievements of women in engineering and inspire more women and girls to pursue careers in this dynamic field. At Loureiro, we're proud to work alongside numerous talented female engineers - not to mention those with other related and supporting professional backgrounds and areas of specialization. We're committed to empowering women and girls to enter the field through initiatives like STEMFems, organized by the Connecticut Women's Hall of Fame. Through this program, we've presented discussions and hands-on activities on wastewater engineering and other topics to inspire interest and pique curiosity. The future is bright, and we encourage our colleagues in engineering and all STEM-related fields to continue supporting women in our industry. Let's keep pushing boundaries and breaking barriers together! #INWED24 #WomenInEngineering #STEMFems #WomenInSTEM #InternationalWomenInEngineeringDay #Engineering #TeamLoureiro #OneStopShop #TurnkeyAEC #DivisionSpotlight #LoureiroEngineering

Congrats, Kurt Prochorena, PE, LEED AP! Under your leadership for the 2024-2025 season, we know the Connecticut Building Congress will be in good hands!
Tonight was the final meeting of the Connecticut Building Congress Board of Directors for the 2023-2024 season (with a nice post-meeting celebration at Rooftop 120). Thank you outgoing CBC President Ryan Scrittorale (Benesch) for your leadership throughout the past year. I'm honored to be the incoming CBC President for the 2024-2025 season. Big shoes to fill, but I'm ready for the challenge and looking ahead to a great year.

As a Senior Project Manager within Loureiro’s Building and Land Engineering group, Tristan Wallace, P.E.’s primary project portfolio involves site design, site infrastructure, and permitting. On any given day, Tristan is working with clients, overseeing technical portions of projects, completing quality reviews, and handling other general project management duties. A graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Tristan was initially drawn to engineering because of the ways the discipline affects everyday life. “One of the things that attracted me to a career in civil engineering is how vital it is to our everyday lives. From infrastructure to livability to social components – it’s such a core piece to the basics of human society and impacts everybody in a holistic way. It’s what drove me to the field, and what continues to drive me to this day. What we do is core to the world we live in.” To learn more about Tristan, follow the link below! https://lnkd.in/e9NbrU7f #TeamLoureiro #WeAreLoureiro #WeWorkHere #StaffSpotlight #Engineering #Environmental #Construction #OneStopShop #TurnkeyAEC #DesignBuild #UnderOneRoof

#NationalSafetyMonth is the perfect time to introduce our new Corporate Health & Safety Manager, Robert Belding, CHST, STSC. Robert joins our team with over 15 years of experience in a variety of roles related to project-based monitoring through the lens of safety. His career has found him taking an overall responsibility for project safety through pre-planning of operations and the enforcement of various regulations to jobsite inspections to ensure OSHA, DEEP, and DOT compliance. He also coordinates company safety training. For Robert, the work he does nods toward his proclivity for teaching. “In another life, I probably would have been a teacher in some capacity,” says Robert. “I love being able to learn material and pass that knowledge on to someone else. Training and teaching – that’s what I love about this work.” Simply put, Robert's role is to manage corporate safety for Loureiro and any entities under it. That covers everything from a slip, trip, or fall to developing and implementing effective health and safety programs, reviewing existing policies and procedures within the organization, and providing leadership and guidance to EH&S across multiple project sites. With Robert’s heavy construction background, a lot of his focus will be on what’s going on out in the field, covering everything from incidents and injury reporting all the way through to analyzing the existing safety programs and policies currently in place. “Throughout my career, I’ve learned a lot from different safety professionals about how they approach the role,” says Robert. “When I go into the field, I try to walk a fine line. There’s daily interaction with skilled trade workers, and you want to be able to communicate respect. You have to be able to be friendly and approachable but also secure and confident enough to be able to explain why certain things need to be done a certain way. That’s something you’re always improving on, something you’re always learning.” Follow the link to learn more about Robert and his role at Loureiro! https://lnkd.in/em_5z6cv #Welcome #CorporateHealthAndSafety #SafetyMonth #TeamLoureiro #WeAreLoureiro #WeWorkHere #StaffSpotlight #Engineering #Environmental #Construction #OneStopShop #TurnkeyAEC #DesignBuild #UnderOneRoof
