LMM staff partners recently attended the Coalition on Homelessness & Housing in Ohio (COHHIO)'s Advocacy Day 2024, a day of organizing at the Ohio Statehouse alongside housing and homeless service providers from across the state with a goal of educating elected officials on how we can end homelessness together. This event offered the opportunity for LMM staff to meet directly with elected officials and their aides from both sides of the aisle, educate them on LMM's innovative work in affordable housing and shelter services, and advocate for how elected officials can support legislation and funding that enables LMM to carry out its mission. #lmmadvocacy #endhomelessness #housingisahumanright #lmmhousingandshelter

Shout-out to the students from Dr. Richard Romaniuk's Social Work course at the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences at CWRU who recently partook in a walk-through of the Men's Shelter on Lakeside Ave.! Following the shelter visit, the group engaged in a meaningful conversation with LMM staff partners Angelo Anderson and Heather Paramore about critical issues such as homelessness, mental health and addiction, exploring how social workers can effectively advocate for individuals experiencing homelessness in our community. #LMMHousingAndShelter #LMMAdvocacy #socialwork #communitypartners
