Today, we announced a major milestone: over 15 million New Yorkers and visitors have signed in to our free, high-speed Wi-Fi network. The content on LinkNYC’s display screens reaches 78% of New Yorkers every week, and a new report from HR&A Advisors also shows the program has contributed significantly to New York City's economy. Over the last nine years, LinkNYC supported $682 million in labor income, generated over $119 million in revenue for the City, and drove $1.2 billion in economic activity. As we prepare to enter the second decade of the #LinkNYC project, we look forward to expanding our network of next-generation #Link5G smart poles in 2024 and beyond. Linking New York Together
About us
LinkNYC is the world’s largest and fastest free public Wi-Fi network. Each Link kiosk provides free superfast Wi-Fi, phone calls, device charging, access to social services, and displays content such as real-time weather, transit info, public art, and local information. The citywide network has more than 16 million Wi-Fi users and has connected more than 30 million free phone calls. All of LinkNYC’s services are completely free to users and taxpayers, provided by CityBridge, a partnership led by Intersection and Boldyn Networks. The second generation offering is deploying thousands of new kiosks, called Link5G, enabled with 5G wireless technology across the city.
