Can the grid keep up with the uncertainty of load growth due to data center consumption? Join us for a webinar on Nov. 14th at 12pm EST to explore how Grid Enhancing Technologies (GETs) can help grid reliability by easing congestion and increasing capacity to help meet growing energy demand. Our VP of Regulatory and External Affairs, Hilary Pearson, will give an overview of the regulatory landscape along with some recommendations for utilities and tech companies on a way forward. Brian Janous of Cloverleaf Infrastructure and Brian George of Google will share their perspectives on partnering with utilities on innovative solutions to address load growth. Our very own Alex Houghtaling will be discussing how #GridEnhancingTechnology like #DLR can provide energy security in the face of shifting geopolitics and help to reroute power during outages, repair and construction
CurrENT is partnering with Green Deal Ukraїna and Renewables Grid Initiative to host an hour and a half online webinar discussing the role that #InnovativeGridTechnologies can play in securing the energy supply in Ukraine over the coming winters. The energy crisis in Ukraine urges practical steps to foster stronger electricity links between Ukraine and its Western neighbours. Ensuring the availability of much higher imports from the EU as fast as possible can provide essential support to Ukraine. Speaking at the webinar is Alex Houghtaling Senior Vice President with LineVision, works with global utility executives to realize the vision of a more dynamic, capable grid. LineVision's technology shows utilities how much power they can safely move on their system, gives them continuous situational awareness of the grid, and assess the health of their grid. All of this is in service of a more reliable, resilient, data-driven grid that is able to meet the load growth and generation challenges shared by utilities around the world Alex will be presenting use cases for #DynamicLineRating 🗣 Follow the link to see the full agenda and register for the event: https://lnkd.in/e_v_9MW7 Confirmed speakers: Layla Sawyer | Mark Norton | Romain COULLETTE | Susanne Nies | Yolanda Garcia Mezquita | Andrzej Ceglarz, PhD

"VCs have flocked towards energy to invest in companies that are perceived to be both politics- and recession-proof — electrons will always keep flowing. Grid tech in particular has emerged as a subsector with potential to enhance resilience and return funds." A new op-ed from Jonathan Healy, investor at Cathay Innovation: https://lnkd.in/e-Myzyey

We’re thrilled to share some exciting news – last week the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) announced $4.2 billion of federal funding through the second round of Grid Resilience and Innovation Partnerships (GRIP). We are excited to see Grid Enhancing Technologies (GETs) like Dynamic Line Ratings (DLR) included in this latest round of projects as GETs like DLR present timely solutions to some of the most pressing challenges facing the grid. Congress has stressed the importance of investing in America with these awards and we are thrilled to be the United States-based DLR provider, committed to working with partners to implement these projects. Utility Dive highlights just a few of these projects, expected to boost transmission capacity by more than 7.5 GW, in this quick article: https://lnkd.in/gXY3dGsw Please reach out to LineVision if you’re interested in enhancing your GRIP pursuits with DLR!
