Childhood Cancer Awareness Month exists to shed light on the battle families and children endure when faced with a pediatric cancer diagnosis. Here at Lendmark, our long-standing partnership with CURE Childhood Cancer provides us the opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of children and families battling pediatric cancer. In fact, we have raised $8.83M for CURE’s precision medicine research over the last nine years. This could only be accomplished by the relentless support of our employees and vendors towards our annual Climb to Cure fundraising campaign. Their selfless dedication is how we can make such a tremendous impact as we fight to find a cure for childhood cancer. September awards us the opportunity to honor the true heroes of this fight -- the kids who are battling unimaginable challenges with incredible courage. It also allows us to honor the memories of those lost and to carry them in our hearts. On Saturday, August 24, Lendmark hosted its annual awareness and wellness event, Climb to Cure, to culminate our three-month-long fundraising campaign for CURE Childhood Cancer. The event took place at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville, Ga., where more than 150 employees, along with friends, family, and business partners, climbed the stadium stairs and walked the causeway. This is symbolic of the challenges facing children and families battling cancer.  For 2024, we raised a record-breaking $2.1M for our Climb to Cure campaign. Our fourth annual Golf Fore a Cure event was a major success, raising a record-breaking $43,869 for CURE Childhood Cancer. Hosted at Ashton Hills Golf Course in Covington, GA, the event saw 124 golfers comprising 31 teams with two full flights, an exciting online silent auction, and a thrilling “Beat the Pro” contest. We had a blast hosting the Lawrenceville Boys & Girls Club a few weeks ago for their Career Day. Their visit was jam-packed with learning about different career options in the financial services field, remarks from Lendmark leaders across several departments, an Executive Leadership Program (ELP) panel, giveaways and more! Lendmark’s 2nd Annual May Food Drive: Making a Difference Together!   Leading up to World Hunger Day on May 28, Lendmark employees from our corporate support offices in Arizona and Georgia, along with select branch locations, united for a common cause. We're thrilled to share that we collectively gathered over 1,000 lbs. of essential food and personal care items and more than 9,000 bottled waters for those in need.   Our contributions went to incredible organizations including: Lawrenceville Cooperative Ministries in Gwinnett County, Ga., Garden of Gethsemane Homeless Shelter in Covington, Ga., and The Society of St. Vincent de Paul - Phoenix in Arizona, among others.   Thank you to everyone who participated and supported this important cause!
