Earlier this year, Simplot India marked a significant milestone with its inaugural celebration of the 80th National Fire Service Week. The event was themed "Ensure Fire Safety, Contribute towards Nation Building." Celebrations included everything from a fire fighting training practical demo to a fire safety slogan competition. The week-long celebrations culminated in a closing ceremony where participants were awarded for their contributions towards enhancing fire safety awareness and preparedness. Simplot looks forward to continuing its commitment to fire safety and contributing positively to nation-building efforts in the future.

Mackenzie Zeimet, an Account Manager for Simplot Foods, is always asking her customers how she can help. She joined Simplot in 2021 and now oversees customer relationships throughout the state of Idaho. Mackenzie wears many hats in the food service industry and collaborates with a diverse clientele, including K-12 partners, restaurants, food trucks, stadiums, operators, and distributors. Her passion lies in the food service industry, where everyone strives to contribute to feeding the world.

Happy World Nature Conservation Day! The safeguarding of Earth's precious resources is important to us at Simplot across the globe, and we want to highlight just some of the many examples of our commitment to conservation. 👇 • We were the first company to sign the Australian Food Pact in October 2021, and we are proud to be in our 3rd year of food waste and loss reporting under it! • Only 1% of our food waste is sent to landfills, and the rest is sent to other destinations. • We have also recently re-engineered the microwavable bags in our Birds Eye Steam Fresh range to include 22% recycled material in a major milestone towards plastic circularity. This equates to the elimination of 7.4 tonnes of plastic annually! • We plan to have zero waste to landfill in our food processing plants by 2030.

We want to say a big thank you to everyone who came out to Free FryDay last week! It was a fun-filled afternoon, complete with fries and festivities, from concerts and a dunk tank with Boise State Athletes to the circus performances and petting zoo, there was something for everyone. Best of all, we raised funds for the Idaho Foodbank to help provide up to 7,000 meals to Idahoans experiencing food insecurity! Thank you to everyone who supported this event and the volunteers who made it possible.
