There is a major push for AI adoption across all sectors, including software testing. Generative AI is rapidly transforming how we analyze requirements, design tests, and automate QA activities. The new CT-GenAI syllabus provides a structured path from core AI concepts to advanced techniques. It starts with GenAI foundations, risks, and principles, and progresses through prompt engineering, evaluation strategies, LLM-powered testing architectures, and organizational adoption roadmaps. This syllabus is not isolated, it connects with other ISTQB® certifications like CT-AI and TAE v2.0. GenAI is becoming a central skill across all testing roles, from test design to automation and quality leadership. Most importantly, CT-GenAI is highly practical: over 50% of the learning is hands-on.
